Member Service Representative

People's Alliance Federal Credit Union is looking for a new Member Service Representative who will assist our members with all banking needs including but not limited to: answering questions about accounts, opening new accounts/CD’s, online banking assistance, going over loan/account information as well as anything else that may come up in the course of business. Employee will be located in Hauppauge, NY.

Responsibilities include:

  • Service members in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Open new accounts/CD’s
  • Assist members with online banking and account questions
  • Answer member phone calls with excellent phone etiquette
  • Make contact with members regarding loan applications
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with members while adhering to high service standards
  • Cross-sell credit union products to all members

Position Requirements

  • Banking and/or strong customer service experience is necessary
  • Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume customer service environment
  • Familiarity in the use of a PC and a working knowledge of MS word and excel
  • Outgoing personality
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Bi-lingual is required (English/Spanish)

Branch hours: Mon.-Thurs. 8:30-4:00, and Friday 8:30-6:00, Sat. 8:30-2:00.

Full Time Teller-Hauppauge Main Branch

People's Alliance Federal Credit Union is looking for qualified, enthusiastic individuals to join our team! Cashier or Teller experience required.

Primary Job Function: To assist our members with all financial transactions including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and account openings. Employee will be located in our Hauppauge location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Service members in a courteous and efficient manner Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments etc. as well as issuing teller checks and money orders
  • Opens and closes his/her teller box; responsible for maintaining a balanced cash drawer
  • Assist members with account/loan questions Establishes and maintains relationships with members while adhering to high service standards
  • Cross-sell credit union products to all members

Position Requirements

  • Teller experience and/or customer service experience that includes heavy cash handling
  • Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills Ability to work in a high volume customer service environment

Operations Clerk

Primary Job Function: To assist our members on the phone with banking needs including, but not limited to: answering member calls, experience with making payment arrangements, answer basic account information.

Employee will be located in Hauppauge, NY

Responsibilities include:

Business Development Representative

At People's Alliance Federal Credit Union (PAFCU), the Business Development Representative serves as the first point of contact for all new member companies into the Credit Union and is responsible for building and maintaining member relationships. Do you enjoy talking to people and building relationships? Our Business Development Representatives connect with companies throughout the Tri-State area selling credit unions Bank @ Work program. As a Business Development Representative you will:

  • Build strong relationships with members, outside business contacts, and employees
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and educate the members we serve about the products
  • Work with our Customer Relationship Management system to implement campaigns
  • Showcase the newest promotions that PAFCU has to offer
  • Represent the credit union at various events (currently virtual)

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with strong customer service and sales background to join our TEAM! This great entry level position allows you to travel and meet our prospective membership first hand while showing how our credit union can improve their lives. Although our department is currently mastering zoom events, in the near future we will begin attendance at networking events that meet all COVID safety protocols.

Position Requirements:

  • HS Diploma required
  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
  • BILINGUAL: ENGLISH/SPANISH IS REQUIRED
  • Sales experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Comfortable speaking to members on the phone and making outbound calls
  • Time management skills

This Full Time position is based out of our Hauppauge location and requires travel to networking events with use of company vehicles. You will be going to locations throughout the Tri-State area.

Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm, flexibility is a must as some early mornings, weeknights or weekend hours are needed.

Employee will have use of the company cars for business use.

Strategic Business Development Representative

This position assists the Senior Manager of Business Development in the expansion and implementation of a strategic, multi-faceted business development program designed to increase visibility in Select Employer Groups (SEGs) and within the community; promote, retain and increase membership; drive sales leads and assist in managing relationships with current SEGs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research organizations and individuals to discover new SEG opportunities; contact potential employer groups to establish rapport and arrange initial meetings
  • Travel to Brooklyn, Yonkers, and Bronx areas
  • Develop current SEG relationships in order to obtain greater membership and deliver increased member services
  • Coordinate, document and track business development visits and activities
  • Create and make presentations to promote new and existing products and services to SEGs and community groups
  • Identify and research new opportunities to market the credit union to current and potential SEGs
  • Write and edit integrated content for various correspondences and social media posts in conjunction with the Marketing team
  • Maintain knowledge of PAFCU products and services, banking methods
  • Reinforce PAFCU’s mission and values by committing to excellence in member service

Competencies Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in interacting with the employees of the organization, executives/management, and members
