Independence Day
Independence Day is America’s birthday, celebrated on July 4 every year. It is a celebration of freedom, which was declared on July 2, 1776. Two days later the Declaration of Independence was signed. Need Extra Money
Do you want to earn some spending money this summer? Being a kid and trying to find a job is not always easy. Here are some great ideas on how to make it happen:
1. Yard work and gardening. Offer to cut grass, weed gardens, and general yard work. Seniors especially can use this type of help.
2. Have a garage sale for those toys, video games, books, etc., that you don't use anymore.
3. Offer to wash your neighborhood vehicles. Not many supplies are needed to do this. Or, get your friends together and hold a car wash.
4. Walk dogs and/or help care for pets.
5. Housecleaning. Also washing windows. People don't like to wash windows too often. Seniors quite often need help with cleaning their homes.
To get started this summer, make some flyers and put around your neighborhood. Also, word of mouth is one of the best ways to find work this summer. Just let your neighborhood know that you are interested in doing some odd jobs.
What Is Brain Freeze?
Here is the scoop on what happens. Brain freeze happens when you eat something that is very cold too quickly. What happens is when the cold touches the roof of your mouth it can trigger a cold headache causing a dilation of the blood vessels in your head. When they dilate, it causes pain behind the eyes or even up into the forehead. No, your brain doesn't freeze; you just get a lot of pain for a short period of time.
Ice cream isn't the only food that can give you "brain freeze." Anything that's very cold: ice cream cones, ice pops, slushy frozen drinks, snow cones, etc. The "brain freeze" normally only lasts 30-60 seconds.
